The Vale of Odin, Character Portraits
Digital portraits of the heroes and allies from my novel/graphic novel property "The Vale of Odin."
The story follows a band of norse adventurers trying to protect their island home from a predatory shaman who has manipulated the chiefs of the island into a blood pact.

Vidar the Woodsman.
A man of the wilds travelling from one side of the Vale of Odin to the other, living of the land and the proceeds of his trapping. The game is leaving the Vale of Odin, and life has become much harder for him.
Runa, the Healer
A pariah of Thorvald, Runa lives on the outskirts, trading midwifery, herbalism and herself to make a living, not to mention her penchant for practicing rune magic.
Bjorni Jotenbani.
A former Huscarl to the Chief Olaf, "the Gripping Hand", Knudssen, Bjorni put his sword down to raise cattle with his wife Kyrinna. However, that retirement is looking further and further away.
Kyrinna - Bjorni's long suffering and loyal wife - tries very hard to put her life as a smuggler behind her, but finds old habits die hard.
Erich the "Longshaft"
Named for his great axe - a family heirloom - Erich is a family man fighting for their safety, willing to put everything on the line for them, though their gratitude is often very distant.
Adrielle the Drow Princess.
Abducted by Duergar, Adrielle is rescued by Bjorni and his adventurers, and through her immodest attitudes of her people, unbalances the stoic Norse.
